Casual Labour
In line with peaks of productivity B&L recognise the need for many clients to utilise casual labour. In order to ensure casual labour is cost effective all workers are carefully checked and assessed before being placed on the B&L database. In addition to this we consider hand over and induction time must be managed to ensure optimum safety and minimum down time. Should the client require, site safely videos are shown and tested upon at the B&L office before the worker arrives on site. The client is provided with documentation to show that the worker has received this instruction.

Specific term worker
Maternity cover, long-term sickness or increased workloads are potential situations whereby a client may need extra workers for a specific period of time without committing to the employment of additional workers.  Employment Law is a complex arena and implied contracts of employment can be easily formed. It is our job at B&L to ensure that we act as a ‘buffer’ between the client and the agency worker. All workers required for 6 months or longer are employed by B&L and contracted to the client.

Search & Selection
Clients with a specific vacancy to fill either on a regular basis (Call Centres & welders etc) or as a one off placement; often turn to us for our search and selection service. This entails B&L gaining a good understanding of the clients working environment, ethos and role specification. From this we will research, search, interview and present the client with a short list of suitable candidates. Clients often find this a more cost effective way of ensuring a suitable, productive team member is sourced.

Contract Cleaners
Where there are humans there is a requirement for cleaning operatives.  By opting for contract cleaners the client ensures that a cleaning operative is available at all times to ensure a clean and productive environment for business activities. 

Window Cleaning
Traditionally window cleaning has been fraught with difficulty. B&L are extremely committed to H&S and offer this service with the prestigious ‘Safe Contractor’ accreditation and accreditation in to the Achilles Group, an international safety organisation. A variety of access equipment is used from traditional ladders, hydraulic platforms, abseiling to water fed pole cleaning.

Personal Protective Equipment & Health & Safety
All of B&L’s workers are provided with uniform and PPE (when required). They will have risk assessments, inductions, reference checks, certificate checks and aptitude tests before they arrive on a client’s site. It is the responsibility of the Agency to ensure that all workers are able to understand and competently carry out work required of the assignment.

Calibre of Agency workers
We treat our workers with respect, their H&S is not compromised, they are always paid correctly and on time. Our agency workers are people and are part of our team. They mirror our ethos and as a result of all of this we have no problem in ensuring a steady source of experienced high calibre workers from our extensive database.
